Oh well. Here's the same: Hope the dead armadillo takes care of the trouble. I know you have to trap, no way are you taking a .22 near a propane tank! That gate looks smart. I enjoy tall grass waving in the sun/breeze like that, as long as it's in someone else yard. I keep trying them, but they always outgrow their welcome. Nice spirea. How tall is that? Always a treat to see your house cows.Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17822528453563683772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-45620777765205023642015-10-20T16:50:20.677-05:002015-10-20T16:50:20.677-05:00Hope you don't take this the wrong way, but it...Hope you don't take this the wrong way, but it's somehow heartening to hear that you folks down in a good gardening climate can have a few "failures" now and then. Here I thought it was just up crazies trying to garden up here near the tundra who had trouble growing all we wanted!

Always enjoy your posts and pictures. It had been killed. We wondered if maybe the groundhog had done it. I guess where there is one armadillo, there could be two. I will see if Walmart has cod liver oil next trip out.

Sweet corn did zip this year too. Only thing normal was pole beans, pumpkins, and peppers.gldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03645803822598151817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-29855426775183831802015-10-20T07:28:04.212-05:002015-10-20T07:28:04.212-05:00Glenda,

My sister, who resides in TX has a similar beast issue.
We've learned it's an armadillo (big one) and have been told by wildlife people to put cod liver oil down the hole because they hate it. Well we've done that, and put a trap up against the hole. Hopefully, we will be able to catch the armadillo to relocate it. Because she lives in a development we can't shoot the darn thing.

What's with tomatoes this year? I've only had a handful of them, and tons of blossoms. Not enough to can at all.
Sandy Livesayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06183449816586125720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-37049126564351701652015-10-19T16:00:20.971-05:002015-10-19T16:00:20.971-05:00It's ok to not blog when you are busy.
