I want to make some soup similiar to Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana and it calls for Kale. Probably could use some other green as well-will check at our Wal-Mart and Town and Country. They are an offshoot of Harps and they are pricey to say the least. I shop our employee store for meats, then Walmart, Aldi and Sam's club for the rest. My crockpot is my best friend too, nothing is better than arriving home to a mostly cooked meal. It's almost as good as a maid...almost! You can bury the sections well into the ground - then let only 2' above soil line. Great height for gardening and the buried part sure would keep any invasive roots in line. ;-D

Having fun in the basement now....Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17822528453563683772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-19474239793670633492011-01-08T15:44:05.614-06:002011-01-08T15:44:05.614-06:00That silo brings back memories of my childhood on ...That silo brings back memories of my childhood on the farm. I have thought about filling that in with dirt and using it for vines that would climb up the silo....but we use that area too much for calves and the cow and other cows.
I have to whole farm so silly to take in what is used for the animals.gldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03645803822598151817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-40509343363853839602011-01-08T09:21:43.829-06:002011-01-08T09:21:43.829-06:00Kris and I are on the same idle brain disease, I r...Kris and I are on the same idle brain disease, I right off the bat seen raised beds too. lol
By the time this weather gets over, I will be totally dingy. See me in Belleview.....
Wow, 75 cents for a leaf of Kale, wow, and from what I am gathering, food is going to be limited, and priced off the charts and only certain people will get it, we all had better get to gardening.denimflyzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04737448177805751756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-72754841107281733202011-01-08T08:38:13.528-06:002011-01-08T08:38:13.528-06:00Okay, now she's going to be past 10:00!

Too bad you don't have a giant crane so you could dismantle it and arrange the sections (like in a circle - flower petals) and make raised garden beds. (See, idle brains go off on tangents...;-) ) LOL Lordy, it's a good thing I don't have access to heavy construction equipment!Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17822528453563683772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-17918525818591300472011-01-08T08:18:41.030-06:002011-01-08T08:18:41.030-06:00Ooooh. 75 cents a leaf for kale? I'm definitely growing kale this coming season. Also chard.

Waiting on the electrician for the basement rewiring... Supposed to be here at 8:00. She called and said 9:00 now.
