I tend to throw things together like you did here with this recipe. My mom was the same way.Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15471639876072617577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-86670558028881698392011-11-25T19:54:25.738-06:002011-11-25T19:54:25.738-06:00Hi Glenda,

I like crackers with ours but like cornbread best. In fact just made some veggie soup yesterday and finished up some leftover cornbread.

A good friends DH passed away and visitation was last night and the funeral today. Took food over two different times along with Thanksgiving preparations. Family comes to my house on Thanksgiving so best get up from here and get busy, like to do as much as I can ahead of time, the older I get the slower I get!

Happy Thanksgiving!Bev J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/18075881108883630511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-22231318962559366332011-11-21T07:29:25.130-06:002011-11-21T07:29:25.130-06:00You know, that reminds me that I have a minestrone...You know, that reminds me that I have a minestrone soup recipe that calls for the same kind of bean I cooked the other day! It's a nice tomato-based, garlic-laced soup. I haven't frozen those beans yet, I think I'll make some minestrone!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-63684370327781640892011-11-21T07:21:32.961-06:002011-11-21T07:21:32.961-06:00I agree with Carolyn, so glad that soup weather is...I agree with Carolyn, so glad that soup weather is finally here! Thanks for the soup recipe, I had tried Paula Deen's Senate Bean Soup recipe but yours sounds even better! I have to make a pan of cornbread and a pan of biscuits today for my dressing. Our daughter is having Thanksgiving at her house this year year so I am a little "lost" having so little to do! See you are well stocked for the cold days ahead, Grandma would always say, "Isn't it good to have plenty!"Joy Tiltonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04183952085695405635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3679123700391465393.post-15933328623590399132011-11-21T07:00:06.378-06:002011-11-21T07:00:06.378-06:00I'm glad it's soup weather here again! Yo...I'm glad it's soup weather here again! Your bean soup sounds DE-lish! I'm always making "little bit of this & some of that" soups and stews, but then I don't remember how to re-make the good ones. It's always a suprise I guess.
And I'm jealous of your garlic stash. We still haven't planted our garlic....wonder if it's too late.Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14436557172029575513noreply@blogger.com
