I am not looking forward to this day..........a jaw tooth has been troubling me painfully for several days and I see the dentist at 11 AM, my least favorite thing to do! I want it resolved though, almost chronic pain is very draining. At least the appointment is at 11 so I don't have to dread it all day.
I put a ham in the oven at 5:30 AM; dinner is taken care of for DH, but not me I am sure.
Ilene on her Blog, A Visit with Grandma, posted yesterday on a subject that interests me very much about eating real food made from scratch and food safety. I had just read an article about another thing we can be very worried about. Do you know what BPA is? I didn't. Here is a link about it

Where is the FDA when they let these kinds of things be used! I get very upset that so much of this kind of thing slips by unregulated.
Plastic is not a good thing.
On to happier topics:

I have several different varieties of lamium ground covers which I love. They have been blooming for a couple of weeks now. The pink one hasn't bloomed yet and doesn't seem to be a vigorous as the others. I think I will give her a spot of her own this spring.

Oh Glenda ~ I feel your pain. I just had that a couple of weeks ago and had the dang tooth pulled. Oh the relief of not being in constant pain anymore. I ate soup, and yogurt the first day or so. Then you start eating slowly and carefully on that side. You will feel better after the dentist visit.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what is starting to bloom there at your farm/country gardens. Just wonderful.
I've been walking around smelling all sorts of sweet scents around our property and it is a real joy. Enjoy your lilacs.
Rest after the dentist, and have a nice weekend.
Love and hugs ~ FlowerLady
Your lilacs and such are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI read that article about the plastic. I knew we weren't supposed to wash our grandson's bottles in the dishwasher because of some chemical, and that must be it. Well, his development hasn't been affected, but it is creepy to think about the potential for harm. I sometimes drink those flavored waters in the evenings as a substitute for soda, but I want to find out if they have that chemical in them.
I hope you are enjoying the great outdoors and healing.
